#JanJamJar 2019 TBR

January Jam Jar (#JanJamJar) is a readathon created by booksandmunches in which you put all the books you wanted to read in the previous year into a jar and select them throughout the month. Every year I tell myself I’m going to finish all the books and series I’m in the middle of so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to finally do that.

January

These are the books/series I’ll be adding in no particular order:

  • Six of Crows Duology – Leigh Bardugo
  • City of Ghosts – Victoria Schwab
  • That’s Not What Happened – Kody Keplinger
  • Villians – V.E. Schwab
  • The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy – Mackenzi Lee
  • Girls of Paper and Fire – Natasha Ngan
  • Shades of Light – V.E. Schwab
  • The Raven Cycle – Maggie Stiefvater
  • The Mortal Instruments – Cassandra Clare
  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians – Rick Riordan
  • Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children – Ransom Riggs
  • Lord of the Rings – J.R.R. Tolkien
  • His Dark Materials – Philip Pullman
  • The Lunar Chronicles – Marissa Meyer
  • Shades of London – Maureen Johnson
  • Wayward Children – Seanan McGuire
  • Les Miserables – Victor Hugo (I don’t think I’ll ever finish this…)
  • A Game of Thrones – George R.R. Martin (or this…)

For the readathon, you are supposed to pick out the first two books to read and the two books that I got are:

  1. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy – Mackenzi Lee
  2. Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children (Library of Souls) – Ranson Riggs

I’m hoping to finish a couple more books this year with #finishathon, but with only a couple more days left I’m sure that most of these will still be on my list in January. What will you be reading in January?

    1. I’m a huge mood reader too, but it’s actually going well! I think it’s because I put myself into a reading slump with how many books I was reading so it feels good to start finishing them all. Beat the Backlist looks like a good one too.
